Chronicle Books seeks an Associate Website Manager to handle website associated duties, plan and implement promotions, and leverage other direct-to-consumer marketing tools to drive sales on the Chronicle Books website. In addition, the Associate Website Manager will update the promotions and content calendar, work closely with colleagues in Sales and Marketing, and assist with direct sales marketing campaigns and other marketing projects.

The person in this role will create a yearlong promotion and content calendar, partner with the Brand Creative Services team, manage ecommerce email and SMS programs, and coordinate and implement Google Ads strategy for ecommerce and custom publishing. They will test strategies to increase referrals from social sites, assist with writing content for product pages, and issue monthly reports while also researching/implementing additional marketing opportunities. Working with Operations, the customer service team, Finance, and IT will also be part of this important role as will tracking down site performance issues and working through resolutions.

Requirements

Applicants will need a minimum of three years of ecommerce, customer service, and marketing experience. They should have knowledge of Shopify Plus, Google Ads, Klaviyo, Attentive, basic HTML, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Office along with basic Photoshop skills. They should also be organized, detailed-oriented, and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills will be needed and applicants should have self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with internal and external audiences.
