Chroma Technology Corp., a world leader in the advanced manufacturing of thin-film optical coatings, has an exciting opening for a Manufacturing Process Developer.As a supplier of components for medical devices used to detect the presence of the COVID-19 virus, Chroma Technology Corp. is an exempted (essential) business under the Vermont "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order and continues to operate both remotely and onsite.The Manufacturing Process Developer translates sales orders, RFQ's, customer drawings and designs into manufacturing part masters, production routes and manufacturing instructions. This includes developing a Cost of Goods, determining the most cost-effective solutions for manufacturing, providing technical assistance, and contributing to production process improvements.Responsibilities for this role include: Develop and maintain accurate and complete manufacturing part masters and construction of manufacturing routes.

Develop and maintain accurate and complete... purchase part masters. Aid Sales in the quoting process by developing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), fielding RFQ requests, and advising on feasibility of manufacturing, including review of customer drawings and specifications.

Review paperwork (drawings, purchase and sales orders, referenced specifications, quotes) for consistency and accuracy. Confirm and maintain that documents are issued in accordance with customer requirements. Produce and manage customer specification drawings for Sales Assist Design and Product Engineer in effectively managing the change control process.

Initiate production orders and assist manufacturing teams with any issues in the process. Assist in troubleshooting filter performance problems or production problems Assist in the procurement of tools and materials necessary for production May be required to interact directly with customers Communicate in a clear, effective and professional manner Be organized in helping to solve problems, supporting project teams, or instituting goals Collaborate with colleagues to find most appropriate solutions Take leadership roles to advance projects or the resolution of problemWe are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment Ability to interpret prints, drawings and graphic representations Technical aptitude with mathematical inclination Product development experience a plus Ability to work well under pressure with time constraints to meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers Excellent typing skills Self-directed and detail oriented with ability to multi-taskSee attached for full job description.Recognized as a Best Places to Work in Vermont and awarded the DCD Outstanding Vermont Business of the Year, Chroma Technology Corp. is a 100% employee-owned company and certified B corporation.
