Job Description
Longview Community Church (LvCC) is the oldest established church in Longview with a beautiful facility and solid ministry foundation on which it is looking to build. As the church prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary, LvCC is experiencing a renewal of vision and msision. The church is excited to experience God's faithfulness as it prepares to enter a second century of ministry led by the Holy Spirit.

We are looking for someone to extend our vision of being a welcoming family, transformed by Christ, who love our neighbors through the ministries of Worship and Discipleship. This individual should be highly motivated, passionate, creative and mission-minded and will need to partner closely with all staff members.

Required:
  • A learning and growing relationship with Jesus
  • Alignment with the vision, mission and values of LvCC
  • Trained musician capable of high-level performance
  • Eager to learn, willing to be challenged, supported and encouraged as part of a team
  • Background check
Preferred:
  • Compentency with sound board, worship media software and video equipment
  • 4-5 years as worship leader and/or discipleship, pastoral, community pastor experience
  • B.A. or B.S. in Christian Ministry, Music, Communications or similar
Ministry Responsbilities:
Worship

  • Plan and lead worship services and events in coordination with Lead Pastor
  • Recruit, lead and organize team of musicians, sound and computer operators for worship services
  • Oversight of all music ministry at LvCC
  • High level communication skills from the stage and on online platforms
  • Extensive knowledge in the necessary technology required to create a modern worship environment
  • Liaison for community musical groups using LvCC facilities
Discipleship
  • Lead a team in the development and growth of discipleship ministry, enhancing community involvement and spiritual growth
  • Train, resource, empower and celebrate leaders to ensure the existence of healthy communities (i.e. small groups, Bible studies, women's/men's groups, etc.)
  • Identify, develop and/or select curriculum, resources, and materials as tools for leaders to use for discipleship and spiritual formation
General
  • Part of the staff team
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Willing and available to preach
  • Responsible for projecting, submitting and adhering to an annual budget
  • Lead consistent monthly huddles with ministry teams
  • Other duties as assigned
