Senior Pastor - Dublin Bible Church

Principal Function:
The primary role of the Senior Pastor is to cast and implement the Vision for Dublin Bible Church. He should be a gifted communicator with a passion for reaching lost people who need the love of Jesus. He should be a growing leader dedicated to building on the current leadership development at DBC.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver sermons weekly.
• Lead and direct spiritual development in the church.
• Evaluate and assist existing ministries as needed with vision and direction.
• Help the church navigate through social and cultural issues of the day.
• Provide Biblical counseling for families and individuals within the church.
• Lead monthly ministry team meetings.
• Oversee staff (Associate Pastor and Administrative Assistant)
• Manage budget
• Fulfill various administrative duties
• Report monthly to the Senior Leadership Team (elders and deacons)

Personal Qualifications:

• Confessing, saved believer.
• Meet the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4
• Agreement with DBC Doctrinal Statement
• Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)
• Previous ministry experience
• Biblical Counseling experience preferred
• Administrative capabilities
• Undergo a background check

In addition, DBC has strong ministries devoted to both men and women. The DBC ministry team is led by growing, leaders who are passionate about and equipped for their area of ministry.

Dublin Bible Church is a community-driven church with a strong leadership-development culture. Approximately 65% of active adults regularly participate in community groups and serve in the ministry of DBC.

Dublin Bible Church is staffed with an Associate Pastor of Worship and a part-time administrative assistant.
