Customer Service Representative - GFA

GFA World is seeking a Customer Service Representative with a heart for transforming the lives of the impoverished and hurting through Jesus Christ. As a Customer Service Representative with GFA, at our headquarters outside Dallas, Texas, you will serve as the ministry’s front-line liaison for our donors and sponsors through clear verbal and written communication. ***Please Note***

All full-time staff members are considered missionaries behind the scenes, and as such are expected to raise financial support, which enables GFA to provide more resources for the work on the mission field. We will provide training, guidance, and coaching in how to raise financial and prayer support. There are exceptions to this policy, and those will be considered on a case by case basis. May the Lord give you His guidance and wisdom.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer incoming calls with compassion and understanding while meeting the needs of our donors
  • Proactively offer prayer to all callers either by phone or written correspondence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and recognize when situations require urgent attention and escalation
  • Collaborates with the coordinator to enhance processes and procedures
  • Professional phone etiquette, dependability, timeliness and prompt follow-up
  • Assists with training of new department staff
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Work confidentially and with discretion to protect and enforce the privacy of donors with tact and grace
  • Solve problems and listen sympathetically
  • Be self-motivated and pay attention to detail
  • Be flexible, adaptable and take direction
  • Collaborate with co-workers and other departments
  • Not take difficult conversations personally

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates experience to successfully use a variety of computer software applications
  • Demonstrates experience to successfully work independently, prioritize and organize own workload and coordinate work activities with others
  • Demonstrate experience to successfully handle multiple demands efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Interpersonal skills, patience and courtesy
  • Education: High School diploma/GED or equivalent 1+ work experience
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
