Dedicated Automotive Diagnostic Technician

Location:

5721 New Abbey Lane, Castle Rock, CO 80108

Job Overview:

The Dedicated Diagnostic Technician is responsible for inspecting and diagnosing the vehicles that come into this very busy shop. Once this inspection and/or diagnosis is completed the vehicle will usually be reassigned to another technician for the service and/or repair to be completed, allowing the Dedicated Diagnostic Technician to move on to the next vehicle. This is the ideal position for the technician that has a wealth of experience but is struggling with the physical demands of "producing hours" as a technician.

We are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately and completely inspect and/or diagnose the vehicles that come into this busy shop
• Complete a Digital Vehicle Inspection for each vehicle examined, including the creation of a complete parts lists for all recommended work
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns and associated diagnoses

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
• 7+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
• Excellent automotive diagnostic skills
• A strong investment in tools
• ASE Certifications required, Master and L1 designation preferred
• Capable of inspecting and diagnosing all makes/models of vehicles
• Meet or exceed hourly goals
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Efficiently navigate a computer
