Accounts Receivable Specialist - WORK FROM HOME 3 - 4 days per week!

Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. They have a great reputation in the industry and are one of Long Islands' premium employers. We've really enjoyed our partnership with them because of their organized hiring process.

Summary:

The A/R Specialist will be responsible for various duties related to cash handling, customer collections, account reconciliation, and supporting the credit and claims process. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Salary $50,000 - $55,000 plus bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process cash applications for payments made to customers' accounts using the AS400 system via wire transfers, lockboxes, ACH, credit cards, and checks.
  • Examine open credits for returns, unused funds, deposits, and clients who pay before delivery and apply to invoices as needed.
  • Process accounts receivable changes for transfers, returned checks, and refunds in the AS400 system.
  • Examine and deal with both incoming and departing mail.
  • Offer backup for the function of billing and invoices
  • Help clients with their accounts and payments as needed
  • Follow up on collections and past dues
  • Assist with extra research, assignments, and special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of AR experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft NAV system a plus
  • Excel proficiency such as VLookups and Pivot Tables
