+ The Revenue Management Analyst reports to the Director of RM Enablement to maximize hotel room revenue by providing data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and training to the of the market, the competition, distribution channels, and various systems. The Data Analyst must be strategic and decisive, combining knowledge in revenue management, ecommerce, sales, marketing and distribution to offer support to the ChoiceRM Team in making the optimal revenue decisions.
What you will do...
Reviews and analyzes revenue management trends for the ChoiceRM portfolio:
+ Evaluates hotel performance to verify strategic pricing and restriction decisions by market segment and channel were successful in achieving revenue goals.
+ Performs analysis to identify areas of opportunities for revenue growth, market share gains, customer acquisition, and prevention of revenue leakage.
+ Monitors performance of Select Rate Plans (SRP) identifying opportunities to optimize performance, mix, and minimize missed opportunities.
+ Reviews and analyzes the group trends, monitoring group blocks, wash factors and optimal group booking windows.
Supports, and communicates with, the RM and SRM:
+ Prepares trend reports to be used when completing the 90-day room revenue strategies for assigned hotels.
+ Maintains short-term & long-term trends of the local market. Tracks, evaluates and communicates business and market trends for assigned hotels to the RM and or SRM.
+ Maintains demand generating calendars - holidays, special events, city wides, etc for specific hotels.
+ Conduct audits as part of the onboarding process to ensure all rate plans are set up properly and the inventory controls are set as predetermined by RM/SRM.
Identifies opportunities for data and process improvement:
+ Develops Tableau and Excel based reports to provide the revenue management team including senior leadership with visibility into hotel revenue performance.
+ Partners with our Business Intelligence Group to automate reports using tools like Python, R, and SAS.
+ Builds dashboards using tool such as Tableau to visualize trends and performance at the hotel, market, brand, portfolio and system level.
+ Identifies opportunities to improve processes in order to streamline ChoiceRM efforts.
Skills you have...
+ Bachelors degree required.
+ Bachelors degree in hospitality, data science, engineering, mathematics, or business administration or related field a plus.
+ MBA or progress toward an advanced degree a plus
+ 1+ years experience in Data Analytics, Economics, Consulting, or Revenue Management a plus.
+ Knowledge of pricing and promotional principles and concepts including microeconomics, pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and distribution channels
+ Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, asks thoughtful and relevant questions, ability to draw conclusions from data and formulate hypotheses
+ Strong initiative, organization, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and analytical skills
+ Ability to demonstrate initiative, persistence, and resolve in creative problem solving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
+ Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and prioritization; applies good judgement to manage several projects simultaneously, and seeks direction from supervisor when conflicting priorities arise
+ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build positive relationships, exhibit and earn trust
+ Able to apply high level critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex problems having multiple complex variables, and to work across departments and disciplines to design solutions. Able to prioritize objectives, identify trade-offs, identify resource needs, and develop and communicate business cases and implementation plans.
+ Experience with franchising businesses in a global environment a plus.
+ Understanding of hotel industry standard metrics and related reports is a plus.
+ Familiarity with statistical tools such as SAS, Stata and R, demonstrated interest in analytics are required. Knowledge of Python (Pandas, Statsmodels) is a plus.
+ Familiarity with SQL
+ Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
