Junior Software Developer

We are looking for an entry-level software developer to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and maintaining software applications in this role. You will collaborate closely with our DevOps engineers, data scientists, and internal and external customers to assist in the development of software and applications that meet the requirements of our internal and external customers.

The optimal candidate will be creative and will develop solutions that integrate with current technologies on our internal and external cloud infrastructure, as well as with multiple database integrations. The ability to create user interfaces (UI) and dashboards using Python, Java, HTML, and similar programming languages is required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and design software requirements. Develop, test, and deploy application software. Debugging and resolving software problems. Maintain and enhance existing software applications. Write code that is clear, effective, and well-documented (Python required). Contribute to the development of coding standards and code evaluations. Maintain a current understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends. Required Competencies (required competencies that must be contract-driven, verifiable, and measurable): US Citizenship Required Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline 1+ year(s) of software development experience Expertise in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++, etc.). Desired/Preferred Competencies (not contractual requirements): Familiarity with software development tools such as integrated development environments (IDEs), version control systems, and build tools Excellent problem-solving and analytic abilities Superior communication and collaboration abilities Capacity for independent activity and initiative
