Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Master

Job Summary: Performs various functions and incidental services associated with maintenance and repair of an array of vehicles while maintaining a positive company image.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose malfunctions and inspect all incoming and outgoing authorized vehicles that come into Vehicle Maintenance.
Accountable for Limited Technical Instructions.
Repair, rebuild and maintain various types of motor vehicles and related equipment, including but not limited to engines, drivelines, brake and hydraulic systems.
Requires strict adherence to OSHA and AFOSH safety standards.
Additional training for Hazardous waste Accumulation, Pollution Prevention and other training related to the position may be required
May be required to perform on-call duty on a rotational basis.
Accountable for hand tools and shop equipment.
Performs normal maintenance on shop equipment and maintains cleanliness of shop area.
May be assigned additional duties, which may include but not limited to, accountability for Government Furnished items.
Respond to a wide array of operational situations as they arise and as instructed by management personnel.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Able to perform the duties of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.

Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.
Adherence to contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and company policies.

Work Conditions:

May perform work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
May be periodically exposed to inclement weather conditions or other work conditions by nature.

Job Requirements, Mandatory:

Minimum of 5 years' experience as an automobile technician.
Possession of a current Texas Class B CDL Driver's License.
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Flight line driving permit.
ASE Certification as a Master Automobile Technician.
Performs duties as a shop foreman per applicable AFI
Demonstrated ability to perform complete operational checks,
Experience in the troubleshooting and repair of engine assemblies, clutch assemblies, brakes, hydraulic systems, drive trains, transmissions, and electrical system.
Ability to work a non-traditional workweek and perform additional duties as directed by management.
Outstanding technical knowledge, excellent people skill and focuses on superior customer service.
Team player: ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warning, as per contract requirement.
Must be able to provide own hand tools.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of a variety of gas and diesel motor vehicles.
Obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NACI).

Job Requirement, Preferred:

Possession of a current Texas Class A CDL Driver's License.
