Media Communications Manager

We are a Consumer Products Organization launching into the USA during the 2019 campaign. We are a small team that 'wears many hats' and we work together against some of the largest consumer products companies in the world. ROLE:

Develop and implement media strategy with primary focus on digital (the only focus for 2019-2020) to ensure:

  • Delivery of our brand message to Target Audience (TA) to build awareness of the brand
  • Conversion of awareness into trial
  • Conversion of trial into loyalty / regular consumption

Expertise required:

  • Proven track record of working with digital media (off line media experience is a plus, but not a must)
  • Digital PR and integration
  • Bloggers (promote the brand via blogosphere)
  • Video bloggers (integration of the brand into content)
  • Media placement in digital media (on-line-video, banners, etc)
  • Development of our own content in social media and its promotion
  • Social media management and good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Geo targeting (2020-2021 will be primarily focused on delivering the brand’s message for TA in the areas of the brand’s distribution down to town/store level if required). Our strategy is a precise targeting - to the right people in right place. It applies to all areas of communications (direct advertising, PR, vloggers, etc)
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Ability to combine targeting and creative approach in digital media
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with web design
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Ability to present to senior management
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field

Responsibilities:

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement communication/media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee brand’s digital activities design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in digital media, design tools and applications
