Job Summary
Assist caregivers with the cleaning, organizing, and restocking of supplies for the chimpanzees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties:
Clean enrichment devices and areas, including enrichment laundry Clean and sanitize freezers and kitchens Wash produce buckets Maintain clean storage areas Sweep and mop floors in non-chimp areas, including Clinic Floors Wash med bottles
Other Duties:
Chop and weigh produce Store perishable produce items Restock bedding and chow Assist with preparing diets Update Med bottles and med trays Restock pharmacy refrigerators Restock chemical bottlesEducation & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions and write legibly and accurately. No prior animal experience required, but interest and caring for the wellbeing of animals preferred. Relevant vaccinations are required (MMR and COVID). Must be able to routinely lift and carry 50 lbs for short distances. Safety training, equipment, clothing, and supplies will be provided.
