Position Overview:
The Manager of Information Systems and Security Administration will provide strategic leadership of agency system and security initiatives, protect and monitor agency networks and devices, and manage the Systems and Security team to ensure continuous, secure agency business operations.
Ensures proper recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of systems and security team members.
Maintains agency information security and availability of network devices and systems, ensuring continuous and optimal performance.
Provides leadership and direction for data continuity and access control across all agency-deployed systems.
Ensures agency software and systems compliance with security regulations, including PCI-DSS, FERPA, and HIPAA.
Performs periodic reviews of the system security environment and addresses identified risks and vulnerabilities.
Provides security incident detection, response, documentation, and reporting.
Notifies IS Team of risks, vulnerabilities, and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance, possible security infringements and security breaches.
Supports IS Help Desk and 3rd party providers in the resolution of reported security and system incidents.
Assists with agency information systems and security training and awareness programs.
Ensures data backups are safeguarded from unauthorized access and manipulation.
Develops and implements network disaster recovery plans.
Researches approves, and implements all software, hardware, and end-user devices to meet agency needs and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
Ensures server administration and maintenance, including server backups, upgrades, security patching, troubleshooting system problems, contract maintenance, and account administration.
Provides occasional and emergency after-hours support, including weekends and evenings.
Ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or related field.
•5-7 years of security, systems, and network administration experience required.
•Leadership and supervisory experience required.
•Cybersecurity experience is required, including architecture, data loss prevention, awareness, incident response, and compliance.
•Industry-specific certifications and HIPAA privacy and security compliance experience is preferred.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
•Ability to travel to all agency sites.
Hybrid Eligible:
Given the nature of this role, the Manager of IS Systems and Security Administration will need to be able to work an onsite and remote work schedule.
