Medical Billing Specialist (Part-time Only) 60 days

CETC is seeking an organized and proactive billing specialist to join our organization. You will work directly with our Clinical Director and Chief Operating Officer to ensure all billing tasks are efficiently and effectively implemented. Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and a wide breadth of experience managing clerical responsibilities.

Competencies & Key Roles:

Always exhibits unified and consistent support of all company decisions

Performs a broad range of administrative functions including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assist Clinical Director with patient billing (including managing patient commercial and Medicaid accounts, filing claims/invoicing, reimbursements, statements, etc.) & collections
  • Checking, recording, and tracking client insurance coverage/benefits
  • Resolving/reconciling patient accounts
  • Answering phone, scheduling patient appointments
  • Providing information to callers
  • Composing memos, letters
  • Completing all other required corporate tasks as necessary
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree (preferred)
  • Committed continuing education to improve job performance*
  • 1-2 years experience in this position and/or basic medical or healthcare office management
  • Experience working with financial functions (e.g., billing or a related area)
  • Adequate mathematical skills
  • Adequate word processing/typing skills (e.g., 45-50 wpm)
  • Proficient use of the personal computer (i.e., knowledge of Internet Explorer and search engines, MS WORD, EXCEL, and QUICKBOOKS)
  • Must be familiar with EMR and Billing Systems (Clinicsource and Office Ally)
  • Experience with file management, inventories, scheduling
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills
  • Demonstrate satisfactory verbal and written (spelling, grammar) communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Multi-tasks, takes Initiative, demonstrates good critical thinking skills, & fast learner
  • Dependable, flexible
  • Must be able to work 9am 7:00pm (Monday through Thursday)
