About The Role Chicory is seeking an experienced business development, account management or sales professional to join our team as a Retail Partnerships Director. The Retail Partnerships Director will act as a business development and relationship manager with Chicory's grocery, mass and club retailer partners, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining business initiatives for key retailer partners.

The person in this role will support the day-to-day needs of existing retail partnerships, onboard new retailer partners, manage relationships and create business opportunities. The Retail Partnerships Director will work closely with its direct Strategic Partnerships team along with our Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance and Client Services teams to create innovative strategies that support our rapid growth. The ideal candidate is passionate, intellectually curious, focused on developing long-term partnerships and has experience in the retail or shopper marketing space.

A working understanding of the CPG landscape and experience developing business opportunities in a fast-paced environment is a plus! Responsibilities Build mutually beneficial partnerships with a select group of key retail partners to facilitate the development and advancement of Chicory's business initiatives Obtain access to retailer ecommerce API's to enable the implementation of Chicory's shoppability services Create data partnerships with retailers that provide Chicory access to sales data-based campaign measurement and provide insights to build better consumer experiences and develop new products Facilitate the development of retail media partnerships that allow Chicory's products to be included as endorsed tactics within retailer's digital marketing platforms Increase general awareness of Chicory and our solutions across all relevant retail functional areas (marketing, shopper marketing, customer experience, loyalty, product, technical/engineering, merchandising, etc.) to increase awareness of the value Chicory drives Develop and negotiate contracts with retailers around API access, media, data rights, etc. Compile, analyze, and present any/all Chicory data pertinent to assigned retailers Collaborate with the Sales team and directly engage with the retailer and manufacturer community to grow retailer-specific shopper marketing media campaigns Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to scope out retail integrations and provide insight for new product development Work alongside other Chicory departments including Marketing, Finance, Client Services and Engineering to drive client success and innovation Required Qualifications 5+ years experience working with grocery retailers or CPG retail or shopper marketing teams 3+ years in digital/online tactic sales, planning or development experience Experience negotiating, structuring, and closing complex multi-year partnership agreements Ability to understand complex technologies and convey it in an easy-to-understand manner Demonstrated success in delivering against sales or business development goals Comprehensive understanding of digital advertising Ability to ideate detailed business development strategy, maintain own work-flow and meet deadlines Experience in account management and creating client presentations Additional Qualifications Contacts in the Grocery, Mass, Club and Dollar Store industry are a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent presentation skills Experience with data analysis Benefits & Perks Focus on your health and wellbeing: Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including dental + vision plans Flexible vacation and paid time off in addition to 12 paid holidays Employer-paid membership to One Medical Fitness discounts through ClassPass Creating a culture in which you can thrive: Flexible remote and hybrid work style arrangements Fun and friendly office in NYC stocked with free snacks Team outings and fun activities with our amazing team members Dog-friendly workplace Supporting you financially: Competitive compensation package, including base salary + stock options Flexible Spending Account (FSA) + Health Spending Account (HSA) Commuter benefits 401k retirement plan Chicory Values Operate with Empathy: At Chicory, rather than trying to walk a mile in someone's shoes, we ask, "what do your shoes feel like today?"
