Chewie Labs is an early-stage start-up whose mission is to impact climate change by bringing user-centered design, technology, & magic to reducing waste. About the Role: We are looking for a high-caliber senior technical program manager to manage the firmware/software program with high complexity and broad scope, and to find creative ways to enable independent, parallel work streams while minimizing interdependencies. You'll work across functions and with internal and external engineering resources to build and launch device firmware, cloud services, and mobile app software to enable Chewie's mission.

Responsibilities As Chewie's FW/SW EPM, you will: Lead cross-functionally to define schedules, requirements, resources and integration plans Communicate program status and prioritize initiatives Drive project delivery and technology reviews Use technical judgment to challenge proposals and build consensus Proactively identify program risks and drive mitigation plans with the engineering team Build out scalable processes and frameworks leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams Maintain the team's focus on goal-oriented results in a fast paced startup environment with many moving parts Work alongside internal and external software resources to deliver the software, firmware and embedded tools critical to product discovery Qualifications: 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience. 3+ years experience managing vendor relationships/partnerships. Experience with the development and delivery of hardware products, including familiarity with sensors and actuators Experience with firmware and/or mobile app development Experience with consumer electronics lifecycle Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception through delivery to post launch. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
