Job Description

Seeking a passionate leader to join a family-oriented outpatient radiology practice. 

The Chief Technologist/Clinical Manager is a dual role responsible for day-to-day operation of two imaging centers as well as operations of the MRI modality across all MRI sites. The Chief Technologist/Clinical Manager provides direction, coaching and guidance to all staff with emphasis on quality and service delivery.

Hours: Monday-Friday; Saturdays as needed/on call

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

      ● Maintains a work environment in which teamwork is expected, valued and acknowledged

      ● Takes the lead and follows through with conflict resolution. This includes issues that would take

         other staff members away from their routine jobs for extended periods of time

      ● Works with the senior leadership to develop creative ways to handle problems in the office

      ● Serves as a role model in providing exceptional customer service to our patients, referral base and

         coworkers

MANAGER DUTIES

     ● Resolves service delivery issues in a timely and professional manner

     ● Assures high quality services are provided in an expeditious and cost effective manner meeting the

        needs of the patient, referring physicians and radiologists

     ● Encourages each employee to perform to his or her highest level of efficiency and effectiveness

CHIEF DUTIES

      ● Performs technologist duties, including scanning, in various locations throughout the Beltway

         locations

      ● Clinical modality educator to ensure all modality technologists are trained efficiently and quality of

         care is the same throughout CMI

      ● Evaluate each modality technologist quarterly, on peer to peer imaging

      ● Delegates and oversees MRSO and protocol responsibilities as needed

      ● Periodic rounding among MRI sites, company-wide

      ● Periodic image reviews to assess clinical competency in MRI

      ● Keeps abreast on scanning protocols and updates

      ● Functions well with the clerical side of the site, as to fill in when needed

      ● Performs other duties as necessary

 

Education, Experience, and Licensure

Applicants must have leadership and management experience in a hospital, health care, or related field. Minimum of 2 years management and 5 years technologist preferred. A Bachelor's degree or a degree from an accredited program in radiologic technology preferred.  

  • Certification in MRI (ARRT) (MR) required, (RT) preferred. MD state license. MRSO experience a plus.
