This individual will act in the Logistic Specialist I capacity during those extended times that the Logistic Specialist I is away from the office on travel, leave, etc.
This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports * Submit and track all Purchase Requests and Contract submitted. * Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory of equipment and controlled loaned DoD/OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory or management responsibilities EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Associate degree recommended but not required.
* Two years' experience working in the logistics field. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Must be a US citizen; * Must hold a Secret level security clearance, and be able to obtain a TS/SCI; * Ability to get certification for Hazmat using DOD and DOT requirements; * Proficient in written/verbal communication skills; * Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff; * Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions; and * Must be able to pass a Background Investigation and Drug Screening.
