USCIS requires a contractor to provide records management and maintenance services for the National Records Center in Lee's Summit, MO and File Storage Facility (FSF) in Harrisonburg, VA. The mission is to provide customers with timely access to complete and accurate information from the agency's records and or subsidiary data systems.
The objective of the contract is to provide comprehensive records management services in a manner that ensures efficient, effective, and accountable records responsibility and excellent customer service. The services required under this contract include administrative and technical functions in support of records management for the USCIS Records Operations Support Services (ROSS). The primary functions of this contract include but are not limited to, correspondence operations, file operations, and scanning of files/documents. The term correspondence includes all mail, documents, files and parcels, whether transported by U.S.
Mail, commercial carriers, or courier. These functions will require select contract employees (with secret clearances) to have access to A-Files and Receipt files classified at the SECRET level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken. * Provides supervisory support to onsite records management and maintenance staff. * Provides supervisory support to staff during shifts, weekends & holidays.
Serves as liaison to management for operational notifications, communications and operational task assignments. * Responsible for providing onsite supervision to ensure efficient workflow and shift personnel exchanges for the NRC and FSF locations. * Observes and monitors facility staff and safety practices. * Responsible for the promotion and tracking of safe work practices. * Must be available to work daylight, afternoon, midnight, weekend and holiday shifts as needed, depending on location. * Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company. * Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. * Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY * Reports to Program Manager. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Minimum/General Experience: At a minimum, must have three (3) years of experience in managing quality control operations.
A Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines is required: program management, business or public administration, technical management, information systems, engineering, finance/accounting, or related fields. The QM must have demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to Government regulations and policies, and coordinating operational and administrative actions. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Demonstrated knowledge in industrial safety and OSHA regulations with ability to develop and implement viable safety plans / measures. * Working knowledge of standard safety program reporting processes and procedures. * Knowledgeable of government and military safety regulations and reporting requirements. * Skilled in facilitating teamwork and coordinating efforts for the successful achievement of goals. * Excellent supervisory and management skills with ability to resolve conflicts, grievances, confrontations or disagreements in a constructive manner. * Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understand that honesty and ethics are essential. * Ability to maintain a positive attitude. * Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives. * Decision-making and customer service skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to use all relevant electronic and communication devices.
