We are seeking a qualified Energy Program Analyst to support the CBP Facilities Management and Engineering (FM&E) directorate meet and report on the energy and sustainability goals for the Agency.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring energy and sustainability Initiatives.
  • Provide the appropriate degree of analytic, meeting support, briefing preparation, outreach, planning, coordination/strategic communication and technical support to respond to high priority tasks
  • Conduct background research in order to acquire an understanding and status of new energy and sustainability initiatives
  • Provide coordination support for administrative support and field team requirements
  • Provide project coordination for Energy Independence Security Act 2007 (EISA) Energy Audits
  • Enter compliance and assessment data into CBP's TRIRIGA system, consolidating the data, generating reports using TRIRIGA and analyzing the data
  • Enter compliance and assessment data into the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) EISA 432 Compliance Tracking System (CTS)
  • Develop project briefings and presentations for senior management

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

    This position has no supervisory or management authority

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • At least a BA/BS degree in business, management, engineering, energy or related field
    • At least three (3) years of experience as a mid-level professional in general environmental, energy compliance and data entry

       

      Desired:

      • An advanced degree or environmental or energy certification(s)
      • Experience working as a contractor for federal agencies, specifically Department of Homeland Security
      • Experience entering compliance and assessment data into the systems, and tools listed below, including consolidating the data, generating reports using the systems or tools and analyzing the data:
        • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CP-Track System
        • Environmental Databases
        • Building Assessment Tool (BAT)
        • Environmental Protection Agency's (EPAs) Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO)
        • Facilities Infrastructure and Tracking Tool (FITT)
        • Integrated Logistics Support System, IBM Maximo (or system/database with similar capability).

          WORK ENVIRONMENT

          The majority of this work is conducted in an office environment.
