Currently, we have a full-time opening in our Accounting Department as Staff Accountant. This is an entry-level position, responsible for preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. They also oversee all accounting procedures while advising on general finance matters. Such knowledge can apply across the company as needed, such as in budgeting or cash flow management techniques.


Responsibilities Assist the Finance Department with maintaining timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare journal entries, detailed reports (create and edit as necessary), account reconciliation (General Ledger and Bank Accounts), and all general accounting functions. Analyze data, interpret account schedules, and research issues in a timely and accurate manner for distribution to the Executive Board and multiple departments throughout the Farm including ad-hoc reporting as requested. Support the Farms financial health by ensuring accurate, timely, reliable data and reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis as requested. General Ledger focus including journal entries, account reconciliation, corrections, and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts from setup through to account schedule accuracy. Create, edit, and improve reporting in both the accounting system and customized, intricate spreadsheets as required by the CFO. Participate in the creation of the Companys annual budget process and monthly/quarterly forecasting. Use critical thinking to research and resolve reporting issues while analyzing data at both a granular and broad level. Demonstrate an understanding of the core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement). Conduct month-end and year-end closures Prepare documents for audits Support AR and AP positions
QUALIFICATIONS Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets Bachelors degree in accounting preferred, Associates degree in accounting considered Demonstrates strong willingness to learn and works well on a team Exhibits strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity
