We are looking for a chemical engineer with exceptional process design experience to take part in engineering data package development and commercial project development
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Generate engineering data packages.
Ø Review the engineering documents generated by the EPC contractor.
Ø Contribute to engineering solutions for scaling up new processes.
Ø Generate standard operating procedures and operating manuals for the start-up.
Ø Participate in hazard and operability study (HAZOP) reviews.
Ø Provide commissioning and post-startup support.
Ø Design, size, and specify process equipment for renewable fuel and petrochemical plants.
Ø Prepare process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and heat and material balances.
Ø Perform line sizing calculations, heat exchanger design, pump and compressor head estimates.
Ø Review equipment data sheets and plot plans.
Ø Review equipment (static & rotary) vendor drawings for conformity with design documents.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Ø BS or higher in Chemical Engineering.
Ø 10+ years of experience in an engineering company engaged in EPC for refinery or petrochemical plants; similar responsibilities with a technology licensor would also be acceptable.
Ø HAZOP experience required.
Ø Strong knowledge of chemical process design fundamentals, with experience performing process simulations, heat & material balance, and equipment design.
Ø Strong knowledge of instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Ø Ability to develop innovative engineering solutions with a focus on practical implementation.
Ø Experience in plant commissioning, startup, and operations is a plus.
Ø Available for up to 10% annual travel, both foreign and domestic.
