In 2023 we opened our Chicago office and we are looking for an experienced business analyst to act as a critical node between our US operations and our European-based product development. You will be a key part of driving change in the US trucking industry through insightful analysis of the market, and our shippers, carriers, and internal processes.


What will you do?

As a business analyst at ChainCargo, you'll play a key role in our platform's development. You'll interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, eliciting and consolidating requirements, and communicating these to our in-house development teams. Working alongside the Product Owner, designers, testers, and developers, you'll help create solutions tailored to our users' needs.

You should be inquisitive, have a strong work ethic, and a learning mindset. Excellent communication skills, the ability to influence without power, holistic thinking, and a readiness to challenge the status quo are essential.

Requirements


Your main tasks:

  • Facilitate alignment and change between IT and business stakeholders;
  • Leverage industry experience to identify and understand business needs, propose solutions, and finalize project scope;
  • Collaborate with Product colleagues to translate business requirements into functional solutions;
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline business and system processes;
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand users, customers, suppliers, competitors, and trends;
  • Support Sales and Marketing in identifying current and future product needs;
  • Enhance efficiency through continuous process improvement using Lean principles;
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and balance trade-offs between urgency, development time, usability, and performance needs;
  • Assist in internal and external change management.

Who are you?

  • We're seeking a logistics or supply chain professional with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or a relevant industry certification such as APICS or CPCP;
  • You should also have IREB, IIBA and/or Scrum certification;
  • You should bring 5+ years of experience in the US trucking industry and 2+ years in business analysis, requirement analysis, or product management for a digital product;
  • You should be tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of the software development life cycle;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivots, basic formulas, and VLOOKUP, is required;
  • Experience with process mapping, design and documentation, such as BPMN or UML, is also necessary;
  • Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops platform is a plus;
  • Advanced English is required. Knowledge of Spanish, German, Dutch, or an Eastern European language would be advantageous.
