Job Summary

This position will have a designated territory where you will be responsible for exclusion services. Exclusion Specialist perform exclusion services sold by the sales team. Perform carpentry and other cosmetic fixes to the property. As needed conduct home and property inspections by identifying potential and actual rodent/wildlife entry points and damage.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Primarily will provide outside home repairs, animal exclusion work, installing one-way doors, ridge vent guard, gutter guard, chimney caps, etc. Plus: repairing soffits, repairing entry holes, sealing entry spots from top to bottom of houses, working in tight crawl and attic spaces., and use other construction methods to resolve issues.
  • Maintain service schedules on assigned route, calling customer prior to their service.
  • Perform assigned duties on rooftops, in attics, in crawl spaces, and on ladders at least 35ft high, and have the ability to take pictures of repaired areas and show them to the customer.
  • Communicate effectively with customers prior to, during and after service delivery in order to assess and meet their needs.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate in conjunction with sales staff in order to meet client expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to constantly improve upon skill level.
  • Complete and submit service related paperwork in a timely and orderly fashion.
  • Maintain assigned service vehicle, equipment and tools in clean/good working condition.
  • Adhere and abide to all driving laws/company policies when operating company vehicles.
  • Participate in collections efforts.
  • Additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills

Required:

  • Complete a minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Position requires successful completion of 30-day initial field training).
  • Required to use 32ft ladder.
  • Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 50lbs or more.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate basic math.
  • Working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; where a momentary lapse of concentration can result in serious injury, death, environmental consequences, or data breach.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays as needed.
  • Must have valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass seven-year criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.
  • Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier.

Working Environment

Works in outside environment and is subject to inclement weather, hot, humid, cold, rainy, and other temperature and weather-related conditions. Team Member is subject to sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Works with chemicals and other industry-related products.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The team member is subject to environmental conditions and outside environmental conditions including atmospheric conditions of one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory systems of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. No effective protection from the weather and from temperature changes. Works in frequently in close quarters, attics, crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, and other areas that could cause claustrophobia. Team member is subject to hazards which include on a ladder up to 35 ft high. Physical requirements include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of forces frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move object in addition to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Team member is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
