ABC Testing a Certified Laboratories company is searching for an accomplished, strategic, and goal driven Quality & Safety Director to join our growing team. The Quality and Safety Director will be responsible for the oversight of the Quality and Safety departments. You will appropriate, delegate, and quality control the operations and related tasks to ensure company’s full Quality Control support as well as provide technical and operational guidance and training to subordinate staff. In this key role, you will develop and maintain programs that ensure the company stays in compliance with GLP and GMP by an expanded set of SOP’s and actively lead external audits/inspections, conduct risk assessments, and develop plans for remediation and to mitigate risk. Manage customer complaint process and manage projects to enhance the company’s quality and safety presence from beginning to end; ensuring the objectives are clearly identified and realized. As the Quality and Safety Director you will implement and maintain the QS Management System within a GMP and GLP environment, as well as adhere to OSHA and other state/industry regulations through policies and training for technical and operational staff. You will strategically ensure the successful performance of the Quality and Safety group in properly evaluating and testing, as well as ensuring technical review, and customer technical support. You will review the system and the output of the Quality Control group for compliance to company policies and the quality requirements required in the dietary supplement industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Health & Safety, or Quality Management; a Master’s degree preferred. Certification as a Certified Safety Professional is a plus. Must have minimum of seven years’ experience in a nutraceutical’s and quality driven lab environment and five to seven years of management or supervisory experience.
ABC Testing is an independent analytical testing laboratory providing state-of-the-art instrumental chemical analyses to private, industry and government customers, both domestically and internationally. We presently specialize in botanical and nutritional analyses using GC, GC/MS, HPLC, TLC, UV-Vis, IR, FT/IR, Fluorometry, ICP, ICP/MS, ELISA, titration and other chemical, biochemical and wet chemistry techniques along with analysis of microbial contamination using current approved methods. Services include testing for the health care, biotechnology, environmental, food and cosmetics products.
