We are seeking a top performing Senior Account Executive for our growing sales team. This is field based role that includes both hunting new business and growing existing accounts, but the emphasis will be on landing new logo business for Ceres Imaging.
Experience selling technology or a complex product into the Agricultural space is ideal. However, sales professionals with a proven track record of selling technology into any ‘blue collar’ industry or with a personal background in Agriculture are also strong candidates This position is remote and the ideal candidate should live within 50 miles of Bakersfield, CA.
The key responsibility of this role is to exceed quarterly revenue targets by closing new and upsell deals with growers in your sales territory (Bakersfield).
You will be responsible for the entire sales process; from initial meetings with prospects, through managing sales opportunities through your pipeline, to closing deals and maintaining and growing relationships.
Cultivating personal network to drive lead generation activity
Work closely and collaboratively with Ceres Imaging Customer Success and Image delivery teams to ensure your customers receive outstanding service post-sale.
5+ years of field based B2B sales experience
You’re a hunter who knows how to sell product new to the market. This is an evangelical sale where sales professionals who just ‘take orders’ will struggle to succeed.
A proven track record of selling technology into any ‘blue collar’ industry is key.
A background or interest in the Agriculture or AgTech space is preferred but not required
You have a proven track record of exceeding quotas on a quarterly basis.
Experience managing a large geographic territory and customer base is preferred
Experience working in a ‘start-up’ type environment is preferred.
Self-starter who is able to work in a ‘roll up your sleeves’ environment
Good grasp for explaining technical concepts simply, very strong communication skills
Extremely organized and proficient at pipeline management and follow-up
Proficient with Salesforce CRM is preferred
