Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant

The Position

Century 21 Americana has an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant or full charge bookkeeper to manage accounting operations for a high-volume, multi-division real estate office in Las Vegas. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable, preparing regular financial statements, monitoring compliance, developing internal controls, collaborating with management, and communicating with vendors and others as it relates to core accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports

  • Work with management to improve timeliness of financial reporting

  • Manage the credit card process

  • Processing/posting of wire, ACH, credit card, and check payments

  • Identify improvements to streamline accounting processes

  • Post and process journal entries

  • Prepare in-house monthly and annual financial statements and reports, including a balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements

  • Post all accounts receivable/payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner

  • Conduct monthly and annual reconciliation of all accounts to ensure their accuracy

  • Certificates of Insurance

  • Working with our CPA’s on an as-needed basis and assisting with year-end tax preparation requests

  • Other duties / special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent verbal, email and communication skills

  • Strong and Stable work history

  • Positive attitude

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Extremely detail-oriented and analytical

  • Ability to learn new accounting software

  • Ability to coordinate a functional department and execute projects under general direction

  • Ability to follow established policies, procedures and processes to complete assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)

  • Accounting / Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and accounting standards in general

Compensation

  • Full Time

  • Salaried Position

  • Vacation and paid Holidays
