The Marketing and Communications Specialist provides strategic support to various marketing and communications initiatives, including internal communications and traditional and digital marketing, to achieve short- and long-term objectives for the health care system. The individual will assist with the development and implementation of internal and external messaging, programs and campaigns, and work closely with various departments to meet their marketing and communications needs in a timely fashion, while also working independently. Qualified candidates will have a strong writing background, fundamental graphic design skills to leverage existing brand assets, and proven success in building relationships and working in a highly collaborative environment.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
+ 2 years of experience in a role where writing, editing, basic graphic design and critical thinking were key elements of the job function.
+ Project management experience in marketing and communications.
+ Experience in internal/employee communications.
+ Health care industry experience preferred.
+ Outstanding written, grammar and oral communication skills, with a strong proficiency in AP/journalistic style.
+ Proven and successful track record of writing for a variety of purposes and audiences, using both print and electronic media.
+ Must share previous writing and design samples.
+ Must be able to juggle multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Experience with Adobe, Photoshop, and Illustrator, highly preferred.
+ High school diploma or GED, required.
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, communications, public relations or related field preferred, or a combination of comparable education and experience.
Physical Requirements- Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
