Job Description

Centre WISP is actively seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team as soon as possible. Our ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, the ability to contribute to our back office operations including schedule management, and possess strong computer skills.

Centre WISP is a State College-based internet service provider. We provide wireless and fiber optic internet service to customers in the Central PA area. Our team handles everything from customer installations, to tower work, to ongoing support of our customers. We're seeing an individual to join our back office team and assist with customer service.

Inquiries from customers come in via telephone, email, and text message, so we need a level-headed professional to assist with communicating across many different mediums. The successful candidate will work along side another CSR and our back office technical team.

This is a full time role that can be partially work-from-home. We do require set hours during the regular business day (roughly 8 to 5 for us).

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries including new signups, information requests, and complaints
  • Provide information about the products and services
  • Schedule our team of internal and external install/maintenance technicians
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions
  • Provide feedback to our field team as needed during their work days
  • Ensure timely responses and resolution by our team to administrative and technical support requests
  • Work with customers and other employees to reconcile payment issues and handle escalations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient at typing 40+ words per minute (a typing test will be part of the interview)
  • Expert using Microsoft office and google suite, navigating websites
  • Sense of direction and experience using products like google earth for directions and mapping
  • Motivated self-start with ability to develop and refine processes for efficiency
  • Level-headed demeanor
