Job DescriptionCentralCare, Inc. is current looking for Social Workers to provide Entry Screenings at various airports throughout the United States.Required Qualification: Degree/Education: Completion of a Bachelor's degree is Health Education, Health Counseling, Social Work or related field. Master level education is preferred.
Experience: Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice in a state or territory of the United States. Certifications: Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS)Job Responsibilities.
LCSW's areas of responsibility shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following: Support activities for the preparedness and readiness in each location will include public health administration tasks to include the following: Provide information and guidance related to the prevention of infectious diseases. Review medical records of immigrants for specific medical conditions... requiring evaluation or treatment, prepare and process those records according to protocols and processes.
Maintain shared calendars, shared drives, activity folders with contract investigation information. Provide logistics for meetings, conference calls, seminars, and conferences, station visitor tours, station support staff badging and orientation, and coordination, packaging, and shipment of a variety of items such as drug shipment, bushmeat samples. Take accurate and detailed meeting notes and prepare summary reports, meeting summaries, Epi-X notices, and other correspondence between quarantine stations and other areas of the division.
Conduct follow up on reports of illness or death on airplanes, ships, buses or trains at international ports of entry, and ensure information is entered into tracking and surveillance systems. Participate in Quarantine Station emergency preparedness planning, training, exercises, and schedule and conduct educational outreach activities with CBP, EMS and other port partners. Prepare responses to inquiries related to the entry of animals, etiologic agents, and vectors deemed to be of public health significance at international ports of entry, answer station phones and direct inquiries appropriately.
Prepare spreadsheet, analysis and report in response to special data requests and projects. Prepare, process, and track both incoming and outgoing Foreign Public Health Notifications related to ill travelers and contacts on conveyances. Updated multiple surveillance systems with new and updated information to keep the system current.
Provide information and guidance related to the prevention of infectious diseases. Process, and track both incoming and outgoing Foreign Public Notifications related to ill travelers and contacts on conveyances. The contractor shall follow HIPPA guidelines and medical records shall be kept confidential.
