* Promote a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the CPCCo mission, vision, and values
* Effectively lead the 30+ members of the Nuclear, Criticality and Transportation Safety team including encouraging their professional development and establishing arrangements that allow them to perform effectively in their area of expertise
* Provide a nuclear safety capability able to support CPCC operations, maintenance and project delivery including the provision of specialist subject matter expert (SME) resources
* Ensure that nuclear safety staff are suitably qualified and experienced including the establishment and maintenance of any nuclear safety-related qualification programs.
* Lead the establishment, implementation, ongoing maintenance, assessment and interpretation of nuclear safety processes, procedures, and standards, including:
o Safety analysis and safety basis development
o USQ process
o Process Hazard Analysis (PrHA) process
o Hazard assessment and consequence analysis
o Criticality safety
o Transportation Nuclear Safety
* Lead the provision of safety basis services to field project line management organizations, including day-to-day nuclear safety support, USQ reviews and bulletins, issuances of safety basis amendments, justifications for continuing operations, annual updates, and requirements database.
* Facilitate PrHA reviews of changes to CPCC facilities, processes, equipment, and design impacting documents
* Provide nuclear criticality analyses of CPCC activities and processes.

Job Duties/Scope Of Work
* BS Degree in Nuclear, Chemical, Mechanical or other related Engineering discipline or closely related scientific field
* 12 years experience in a relevant nuclear industry-related engineering role working with nuclear safety processes and procedures and 2 years of previous management experience.
* 5 years experience working with safety analysis and safety basis development, Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) process, hazard assessment and consequence analysis and/or criticality safety.
* Excellent written and oral communications.

Desired Qualifications
* 5 years experience supporting a DOE site(s)
* Previous experience managing nuclear safety resources
