Job Description

The Resource Coordinator provides direct services to CMCA members by helping people find ways to supplement their income, or restore income and increase wages, through public benefits such as SNAP benefits (Food Stamps), medical benefits, LIHEAP, TANF, EITC, emergency assistance, etc. Also responsible for helping people enroll in job training opportunities offered through various community resources. This position is designed to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Will work in both Jefferson City and California offices spending 3 days in Jefferson City and 2 days in California each week.

Job Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field required. Bachelor's degree in social work, Human or Child and Family Development, Sociology, or a related field preferred. Some experience working in a social service related field preferred.

Excellent benefits and paid time off including 13 paid holidays. Starting pay is $14.75 to $15.75 based on qualifications. EOE. Please visit www.cmca.us for more information.

Job Duties:

  1. Interview families and develop and maintain relationships which encourage families to talk comfortably about their personal/family situation.
  2. Recruit and gather information necessary to assess family needs and determine eligibility and suitability for agency services, as well as community programs/services beneficial to the member/family.
  3. Complete agency intake.
  4. Identify barriers which prevent them from meeting their basic needs and determine potential solutions.
  5. Help families to recognize and use their strengths in working toward their goal(s).
  6. Identify resources within the agency and community capable of aiding the family in meeting their needs.
  7. Serve as an advocate for families by building and maintaining strong relationships and helping connect them to information, resources and/or services to benefit their families.
  8. Assist families with on-going assessment of their strengths and needs.
  9. Facilitate classes/workshops/groups which support family interests.
