Our Pet Segment is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to be a part of our DMC Team based in Corsicana, Texas. Please see our website for additional company information - www.central.com MEASURES OF SUCCESS Coordinate, direct, and when required place/select product from bin location as directed by pick ticket and prepare items in an orderly fashion for inventory control and/or shipping using an electric pallet jack, reach trucks, or Forklift. Verify accuracy and quality of product during the packing or palletizing process.
Deliver palletized order(s) to dock and locate in designated area on the floor. Maintain production and quality levels as established by the business unit. Responsible for tracking attendance and monitoring timekeeping for Corsicana Warehouse location.
Recommend employees on care and preservation of items received and shipped, methods and use of equipment. Train staff to handle, sort and maintain stock and related problems. Review records for information accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Provide written and verbal instructions and improve efficiency of distribution subordinates. Assign duties and assess work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Ensure Quality Assurance procedures for inbound and outbound shipments are being followed. Evaluate reports and respond to quality issues with associates.
Ensure to safe keep company funds and property, personnel practices, security and record-keeping procedures. Supervise compliance of receiving practices with established company policies and standards. IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES Minimum of 2 years prior warehouse experience in a leadership role, required .
Excellent attention to detail. Ability to Multitask and work in a fast-paced order processing environment. Prior experience using RF guns, operation of electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and/or Forklifts.
SAP experience, strong plus. Prior experience tracking productivity and quality. Ability to pull / lift 40 - 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
Ability to communicate with employees in a manner promoting a "team" work environment. Self-starter with desire to learn and grow. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Work temperatures can vary due to outside temperatures. There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other business initiatives.
