Summary: Under general supervision, provides basic level emergency and non-emergency care to the ill and injured, to include assessment of illness and/or injury, management of such patients, preparation for transport, transfer of information, and patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities: Attends emergency and non-emergency medical requests as they arise, renders on-site assistance to patients as required. Performs or assists in the initial assessment and management of illness or injury to emergency patients in accordance with specified protocol and procedure. Prepares or assists in the preparation of patients for transport. Inspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards. Performs daily duties and other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Arkansas Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
  • Valid Arkansas Drivers License.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR.
