Position Overview: As a Veterinary Assistant and Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial dual role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You will provide essential support to our veterinary staff while also delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for animals with your exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities: Veterinary Assistant Role:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks, including animal handling, restraining, and monitoring during procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas for procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and sample collection.
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of veterinarians.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
Customer Service Representative Role:
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic's appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries and providing information.
- Process client payments and update records accurately.
- Provide clients with information about our services, pricing, and policies.
- Handle client concerns and ensure their overall satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or coursework is a plus).
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a customer service role preferred.
- Strong passion for animals and their well-being.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills for maintaining records and scheduling appointments.
