Center for Pain and Supportive Care is offering a full-time internship for college graduates working toward a career as a medical clinician. The internship consists of working as a medical scribe in a cancer pain and chronic pain medical facility. Candidates will not only gain knowledge as a medical assisting scribe, but they will have the unique opportunity to engage in other aspects of a medical practice which will help guide their education and professional decisions.
Interns will spend time with each department, to include billing, scheduling, authorization, front desk, and management; however, the majority of the time is spent with the providers (the medical director, our physician's assistant and nurse practitioner). Center for Pain and Supportive Care hopes to guide students such that they have a well-rounded understanding of a medical practice and the medical system, a knowledge that reaches beyond the lessons taught in school.
