Work Hours and Duties

Behavior Consultants supervise programs for individuals we serve, either in-home, at a CBS Center, or in school settings. Behavior Consultants also provide parent training, perform functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), ensure program development and progression, write reports, and supervise and train Behavior Technicians.

  • Work hours: Behavior Consultants work full-time. Work hours may vary depending on assigned clients. Behavior Consultants' work days also vary, depending on organizational and client needs.
  • Positions supervised: Behavior Consultants provide face-to-face, 1:1 in-field supervision to Behavior Technicians on a daily basis.
  • Position reports to: Director, assistant directors, and clinical managers.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants preferably have a master’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field. Applicants must be board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs).

Compensation and Benefits

This year, the starting salary for BCBA-level consultants is $70,000. Benefits include paid training, vacation and sick leave, health and dental insurance, as well as 401K enrollment. CBS pays work-related travel time and reimburses mileage for all job positions.
