Job Description

Responsible for assisting with and conducting organizational studies and evaluations; assist with designing systems and procedures; conducting work simplifications and measurement studies; assisting with the preparation of operations and procedures manuals relating to insurance operations and efficiencies; and responsible for certain reporting requirements by performing the following duties.

 

Your Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Property insurance policy system/claims system implementation experience.
  2. Participate and collaborate in efforts to improve capabilities, process improvement and technology projects.
  3. Analyze data for anomalies, trends and opportunities for improvement and report on same.
  4. Assist with performing impact analyses for all operations improvements.
  5. Assist in the development of solutions for internal and external insurance clients by describing requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications.
  6. Verifies results by completing tests related to various business operations impacting the insurance product, profitability and compliance and report on same.
  7. Provides support and help to outside insurance clients and vendors as directed.
  8. Assist in systems maintenance by researching, identifying and resolving problems; assist in maintaining system integrity and security.
  9. Assist in preparation of reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information for a variety of clients, including insurance regulators and business partners.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university and two to four years of related experience is required.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry required; experience in property and casualty insurance preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, project management software, database software, and contact management systems is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent proficiency in Excel, Access and SQL required.
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft programs a plus.
  • Must have strong planning, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulated industries.
  • Experience working with and querying databases.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Time management skills.
