Withlimited supervision, the Senior HRCompliance Specialist provides HR compliance and consultation services relatedto equal employmentopportunity requirements, federal and state employment laws andregulations, employment litigation, HR policies and procedures, and/orothercompliance matters.
Primary duties andresponsibilities in order of most significance:
Promotecompliance with applicablelocal, state and federal laws and regulations by leading throughinfluence and serving as aresource toother departments and Cedars-Sinaimanagement regarding employment lawrequirements, HR policies andother compliancematters.
Coordinate andwork collaboratively with Human Resources, appropriate departments and related stakeholders.
Draft andreviewrelated internal andexternal communications.
Developand implement Human Resources policies andprocedures,including drafting new policies andupdating existing policies.
Work tocontinuously improve and provide recommendations regardingcompliance-related policies, procedures and/or processes across the organization.
Support reduction of the organization's exposure to legal risk by developing and contributing to training programs or educational materials for Human Resources and organizational leadership.
Leador participate in special projects related to either departmentaland organization needs as assigned.
High School diploma or its equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Policy or other related field preferred
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree of law preferred
Licensed attorney in California preferred
Five (5) years experience in compliance, human resources, litigation and/or other legal experience required
Seven (7) years experience in compliance, human resources, litigation and/or other legal experience required
