Job Description

I am looking for a geologist preferably with a PhD in geology but a MS in geology may suffice, bilingual English and preferably Mandarin but Spanish may suffice, physically fit, and who has a passion for exploration geology. After you are trained in Great Basin stratigraphy and advanced field methods (dirtbike riding, survey-grade GPS and GIS and surface gamma ray log acquisition) you will assist me in recruiting and training PhD postdoc students mostly Chinese to advance the Great Basin geological survey initiated by Shell Oil Company in the early 1950’s and advanced by Cedar Strat Corp. since 1984. Profits generated from discovery of mineral and energy resources will be used to continually finance the survey and the first exploration geology institution of applied geology on earth. Once trained selected postdoc students will become professors of the institute and recruit and train additional students. The assistant director of the survey will assist in directing the survey and institute. Directing the survey will include acquiring additional digital measured sections with surface gamma ray logs, geological mapping, structural and gravity modeling, geochemical modeling, and basin analyses.
