The Jr. Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting the Senior Graphic Designers with visually communicating and supporting the COF brand across multiple platforms. Graphic design skills should include a strong emphasis on understanding audience and medium, integrating concepts into pre-existing designs, creating new designs and juggling various projects. The designer should be able to integrate with our current digital and print branding design trends and hit the ground running. The position supports internal customers with special projects. We are looking for a team player who is deadline driven and can design projects that are creative and inspiring.

Catholic Forester magazine
Color correct and scan photos/prepare images for print.
Prepare magazine pages for press by designing and sizing page layouts.
Ensure design adheres to magazine style and standards.
Know how to upload magazine file to printer.
Create art and copy layouts.
Promotional items (planning guide, cards, invitations, table tents, etc.).
Custom social media artwork (web banners, YouTube headers, Instagram images).
Feeding God’s Children materials.
Update and create current ads, fliers, brochures.
Work with Fraternal Department to coordinate agent and court advertising.
Agent Care Projects
Direct mail campaigns.
Basic working knowledge of content management system (CMS).
Designing/posting to online social media.
Help update the home office Intranet, the LINK.

Have a knowledge of graphic and magazine design.
Has experience with advertising.
Knows what CMYK is.

Ability to work collaboratively on projects with team members and supervisors.
Ability to be extremely organized.

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design with emphasis in Communication, Magazine Design or Advertising, and one to three years Graphic Design experience; or a combination of education and experience.
In order to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of the job, one must possess the following computer and program skills: highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Video creation and editing, and web software a plus.
