Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona, Inc. is thriving! Due to the retirement of our beloved CEO, we're seeking our next Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in our mission of strengthening children, adults, families and communities by providing help, creating hope, and serving all. The CEO is accountable to the CCS Board of Directors for strategic vision and leadership; financial performance and viability; community engagement; overseeing a diverse team of high-performing leaders; operations and infrastructure, and compliance. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the CEO leverages the power of relationships and networks and is responsible for creating a favorable image for CCS, including fund-raising efforts.

Position requires:

  • Master's Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Ten years of experience with progressive administrative/leadership responsibility in a health or human service or nonprofit organization
  • Must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church
  • Proven knowledge and experience in community relations, program evaluation, finance, and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated abilities and skills in the administration and management of human service organizations with a multimillion-dollar budget and employee base of more than 300, including human resources administration, program planning, funding, fund-raising, and budgeting
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, including Board members, staff members, leadership team, Church representatives, civic leaders, and the public
  • Progressive responsibility for revenue and expense budgets from a combination of public and private funding sources
  • Excellent grant writing, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse staff and client population. Ability to prepare and present program information in an understandable and interesting manner both formally and informally
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to human services resource development, including funding sources, processes, legal requirements, and regulations relating to licensing
  • Ability to effectively use relevant computer software
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, build and support consensus, and use feedback and advice from colleagues. Ability to treat clients, colleagues, and employees with objectivity, fairness, and respect.
  • Demonstrated innovative, creative problem-solving skills, sound judgment, reliability, and ability to act independently in a value-oriented, professional manner
  • Eligibility to obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
