About the Company:

Cassavant Machining Inc. is a private equity owned manufacturing company that provides machined component parts of all different types as well as small assembled components to the aerospace and commercial industries.  Seeking an experienced IT leader to take on the role of IT Director in an aerospace/defense manufacturing environment. We are offering the opportunity to join a new management group with aggressive plans for growth over the next five years.

 

  • Manufacturing and aerospace/defense experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have spent time at a mid-sized manufacturing operation (annual revenues of approximately $100M - $300M and 300-500 employees).

 

  • Experience integrating or migrating an ERP/MRP is a plus. Work with one-off, custom ERP/MRP systems as well as off-the-shelf ERP products would be beneficial.

 

  • The individual that fills this role will need to be capable of building/training/leading a team within the IT Department. Experience managing a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is highly preferred.

 

  • Experience implementing Security solutions that meet DFARS/NIST/CMMC standards is highly desirable.

 

  • The IT Manager will need to be adaptable and a team player. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Seeking an energetic individual that is capable of consistently offering solutions as opposed to simply highlighting constraints.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years professional IT experience (Preferred)
  • Installing/maintaining an ERP system: 7 years (Preferred)
  • Leadership/Management: 7 years (Preferred)

Full Job Description

·         Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.

·         Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.

·         Strategically lead IT department in operational planning and projects. Supervises IT personnel through recruiting, interviewing, and approving new hires; plans, assigns, monitors workflow; and conducts performance appraisals.

·         Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.

·         Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

·         Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.

·         Administer ERP system.

·         Oversee reports and documentation related to network and systems operations

·         Collaborate with management in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost effective technology solutions

·         Asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment

·         Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures. Must have proficiency with integrated ERP systems, all Microsoft office products and knowledge of network topology.

·         Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and problem solving of difficult procedural, organizational, administrative, or technical issues.

·         Strong oral and written communication, organization, and presentation skills, ability to present information and ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

·         Strong leadership skills to effectively communicate, coach, train, motivate, and develop employees

·         Knowledge of network security, routing, and firewalls
