Job Description: Cascade Health Services is a healthcare staffing company in business since 1988. We provide nurses and other healthcare employees to Missouri & Kansas hospitals & other facilities on a PRN, Perm, Travel/Contract basis. We have 5 offices (a 6th around the corner) including Kansas City (corporate), Springfield, Topeka, Wichita and Hays. Cascade currently employs over 1000 healthcare employees and about 45 office staff. We are probably the largest and most successful Healthcare Staffing agency in the region. We take extreme pride in what we have accomplished over the past 30+ years. Each office staff member plays a huge and vital part in the company's success. THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION LOCATED IN WICHITA, KSTraining could include 1 to 3 weeks basically 9a-5p in Kansas City (or it could be performed in the local office too - it depends on the availability of HR personnel). **Descriptions below vary slightly in that normally our satellite offices are managed by ONE individual; the WICHITA location is manged by TWO. So this person will join another team member on a daily basis. Duties & Job Description:We are seeking the right individual to manage one of the 4 satellite offices listed above. The function of the satellite branches is to be a service center for our employees and new applicants. The offices are usually staffed with only one individual, while our Corporate Office in Kansas City houses all Executive Managers as well as the HR team, Accounting, Staffing, Recruiting and IT. The HR team and satellite Office Managers work very closely with one another on a regular basis via phone, email, IM or other correspondence. The responsibility and accountability level of this person is of the utmost importance. Being that this person will be the only staff member in this office, reliability and promptness are of the utmost importance and few call ins will or can be tolerated. Duties include but are not limited to:*Manage the branch, as it's only office staff member*Manage applicants that come into the office to apply; either sent in by Recruitment or walk ins*Multi tasking and time prioritization is essential. You will be frequently interrupted during projects and will have to change direction due to a necessary task such as a walk in applicant, etc. which must be handled with complete finesse and professionalism.*Various HR duties, projects, tasks are assigned and time sensitive. Typically the projects are related to ongoing field staff credential checks that must be done perfectly and periodically on all 1000 staff.*Calling Client Management Staff to get references on applicants, performance evaluations, etc.*Off Site Job Fairs - Occasionally we might need satellite managers to travel to a not so far town, in order to run a recruitment/applicant job fair.*Occasional need to go out of town to any Cascade office for a day to a week (rare, but possible)*Core Tech Skills are a must: Essentially, if you are not highly computer and technology savvy you will likely not find satisfaction in this position; but instead will find it very frustrating.NOTE: Our application process includes completing a checklist that includes about 50 various items. You will first administer testing and assist the applicant in completing the test(s) to assure they meet our desired skill knowledge. If they do not pass testing OR they do not interview well, you have to be able to tell the applicant "Thanks for applying but we are not making an offer at this time" and sometimes that can be uncomfortable. You have to have the applicant complete several forms. You will be responsible for the accuracy of the paperwork and you have to look over it carefully and assist people if more information is needed. You will verify their credentials and licensure online and print many documents to PDF's to save in an online folder in a Windows software environment. If a conditional offer of employment is made to an applicant via the corporate office upon your recommendation, then you will administer an orientation over regulations such as OSHA, HIPAA and much more. You will assist new hires with orienting and have them complete post employment paperwork such as W4's, Direct Deposit paperwork, I9's etc. There is a LOT to learn about all of this, and there are many computer programs and skills utilized.**Various other tasks as related to any HR function may be expected. Hours:Basically 830a to 5p Monday through Friday; but you may find it helpful to go in early/stay late to complete tasks if behind. Major holidays listed in policies are off and paid. Hours may change with needs of the business, but not likely. Taking lunch off site is not allowed; instead we provide a break area equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, etc. Leaving for a quick break or food run during the day is at the discretion and permission of the HR Manager(s) and is usually not an issue. Time and 1/2 paid for hours over 40 per week. 40-43 hours a week is typical. You may automatically work a few hours of OT weekly without receiving specific permission from the HR Manager(s). Experience, Skills, Background Requirements:*Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required*HR and or Administrative office experience of some kind is highly preferred*Great typing skills is a must*Strong computer knowledge*Ability to maintain composure under times of pressure or challenging moments (multiple people walk into apply, an important task is interrupted, etc)*Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment*Ability to be extremely self motivated*Excellent integrity, morals and trustworthiness are very important to Cascade*Great communication skills both written and verbal THANK YOU so much for considering Cascade Health Services.
