Job Description

Carrow Real Estate Services, LLC is seeking to hire a part-time real estate accounting clerk/bookkeeper. The bookkeeper will be assigned commercial real estate properties with responsibilities to include managing all financial transactions, cash management, reconciling bank statements, recording journal entries, month-end close, and monthly financial statement reporting. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, be proficient with computers and MS Excel, and needs to be accurate, efficient, and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities
• AP review and approval of invoices, ensuring correct coding, correct property, correct vendor, correct total etc.
• Generate and send tenant rent statements
• Generate and send tenant utility billbacks
• Prepare annual tenant CAM escalations
• Prepare annual property and school tax billbacks
• Support tenants with any applicable rent, billback or lease questions
• AR review and follow up with tenants in arrears
• Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
• Accurately book accruals for properties that are on accrual basis
• Month-end close and monthly cash/accrual financial statement preparation for each property assigned
• Budget preparation and review with our Property Management team
• Leasing team support, i.e. follow up to questions regarding current tenants and prospective tenants
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner

Requirements and Qualifications
• 3 or more years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Self-motivated and commitment to working efficiently and accurately
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
• Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and remain motivated
• Willingness to “go the extra mile” to achieve company goals and objectives
