Job Description
Lumber Yard Forklift Operator
We are seeking a dependable and organized Forklift Operator. This position includes general warehouse responsibilities including inventory control, loss prevention, as well as shipping and receiving documentation. Sit-down forklift experience is required. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $1,000!
Duties
- Pulling material orders
- Assisting with customer pickups
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Assisting with keeping the yard neat and organized
- Restocking
- Assisting with inventory management
- Operating a sit-down forklift
- Any other responsibilities deemed necessary
Requirements
- MUST be a team player
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1-year warehouse/forklift experience required
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to work long hours (7 am-5:30 pm) or later when needed and some weekends when necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Customer service skills and ability to represent the company in an appropriate manner
