About the Role

Caribou is looking for a Senior Director of Brand Marketing to lead Caribou's brand marketing and creative functions. This position will be instrumental in continuing to expand our *new* Caribou brand strategy and bringing it to life through creative storytelling, content, collateral, and campaigns across channels. Primary responsibilities will be building brand awareness, organically acquiring new customers, and overseeing consumer and B2B brand and design teams. This leadership position will work closely with other stakeholders on the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to take our brand to the next level. The Senior Director of Brand Marketing will:

  • Build a brand marketing and creative strategy that cohesively communicates our brand values across multiple channels and audiences
  • Manage Caribou's Brand Marketing and Creative teams with direct responsibility for brand building and increasing awareness
  • Build a clear and strong sense of community among Caribou customers and followers - driving meaningful engagement through both online and offline community- building tactics
  • Devise campaigns, drive key marketing moments, and amplify product launches
  • Scale existing channels and pursue new opportunities for continued brand evolution
  • Oversee the creative team to develop strong, on-brand content and messaging for owned channels and earned media
  • Coach and develop your team of 8+ marketers as a best-in-class brand marketing function
  • Manage budget for all brand marketing channels; hire and manage agencies as needed
  • Assess performance against OKRs and report regularly to senior leadership on your strategy and results

This role can be based out of Caribou offices in Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Austin, TX. Alternatively, the role may be based remotely within the U.S. This role requires attendance at occasional in-person team meetings. Caribou currently requires that all personnel and visitors to any of its offices are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.  As a result, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be eligible for this position (subject to any exemptions or accommodations due to medical or religious reasons).


About You

You are a creative, analytical, and driven leader with deep brand marketing experience and exceptional communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-growing environment and can juggle multiple projects at once without skipping a beat. You have/are:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • An excellent communicator and compelling storyteller. 
  • Experienced at presenting to senior leaders
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams toward common goals
  • Highly collaborative, a great listener, and able to work with peers and executive teams to drive action and results
  • Previous start-up experience (a big plus!)

  • Base salary of $175-200K
