About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will supervise daily operations and personnel while aiming for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They will also ensure that technology is utilized to a maximum and that staff is well-organized and productive. An excellent Quality Assurance Manager must be an organized, reliable, and results-driven professional. They must have a practical mind to solve problems on the spot, partnered with an ability to see the "big picture" and make improvements. The Quality Assurance Manager must also have excellent customer service and communication skills. The goal is to do everything possible to attain goals and achieve great results for our company. The Quality Assurance Manager will: 

  • Accomplish results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Develop clear objectives, delegate tasks, and evaluate performance for the Quality Assurance Officers' (QAO) key performance indicators
  • Hold weekly one on ones with team advocates and monthly one on ones with QAOs to determine satisfaction
  • Develop personal growth opportunities
  • Develop, coordinate, document, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Generate and share comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
  • Work cross-departmentally with other leaders
  • Create training classes and materials for QAOs when the need arises
  • Monitor and improve document handling, and other procedures
  • Assist with the Lender Onboarding process
  • Establish and maintain communication with lenders to resolve fund delays and discover ways to improve Caribou's relationship with its lender partners

This role can be based out of Caribou offices in Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Austin, TX. Alternatively, the role may be based remotely within the U.S. This role requires attendance at occasional in-person team meetings Caribou currently requires that all personnel and visitors to any of its offices are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.  As a result, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be eligible for this 

About you

  • Leadership experience required, preferably in Quality Assurance
  • High school diploma required
  • A fundamental understanding of lending compliance and principles required
  • Strong track record of facilitating excellent communication
  • Experience successfully implementing processes that deliver results
  • Driven individual dedicated to making processes that will help employees succeed
  • Passionate about delivering value to your customers and de-escalating issues in a fast-paced environment 
  • Enthusiastic about improving your team's and your own performance every day 
  • Possess the ability to push yourself and those around you to be the best you can be while holding your boundaries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work as needed to support your team, including weekends
  • Ability to work remotely, including reliable high-speed internet
  • This role can be based out of Caribou offices in Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Austin, TX. Alternatively, the role may be based remotely within the U.S. This role requires attendance at occasional in-person team meetings.
