Complete Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Caribou Thunder, you will be responsible for software development following organizational standard software processes. You will work closely with customers to gather and refine software requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
- Leveraging your expertise, you will design software based on defined architectures and implement and unit test the software to meet quality standards.
- Strong technical communication skills are vital as you will interface with systems and software development engineers to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment of efforts.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues will also be part of your responsibilities, where you will apply your problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve software-related issues.
- Experience developing software following a capability maturity model process
- Experience with interpreting and decomposing system requirements and system design (UML or SysML) into software requirements
- Strong Linux experience and a solid understanding of Linux commands
- Software development experience using communication methods
- UI development experience using Qt or similar frameworks
- Strong embedded C++ development skills
- Experience with Google Test or similar testing frameworks
- Knowledge of build systems using CMake
- Proficiency in using Git for version control and repository management
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Artifactory
- Proficiency in Bash shell scripting or scripting languages
- Experience in the creation and manipulation of RPM packages
- Knowledge of partitioning and compressing files/disk partitions
- Familiarity with LUKS Linux encryption
- Understanding of Ethernet/serial IO protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues using tools like GDB and Valgrind
- Previous experience with developing software following a capability maturity model process
