Job DescriptionOur client, a leading apparel and lifestyle brand is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team. This role will be responsible for the efficiency of the business, including but not limited to, keeping all teams and departments aligned as the business continues to grow. This position will also manage the flow of operations between the brand and their manufacturing partner.This new role will be a key member of the management team, reporting directly to the Founder and President.

demonstrates a high level of personal motivation and is both hands-on and strategic, we'd like to talk to you.Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Oversee company operations including managing the flow of operations between business and their manufacturing partner. Lead, manage, and inspire team members by building upon an inclusive culture that drives employee satisfaction and productivity. Collaborate with the management team to develop operating procedures and best practices, define operational KPIs and set goals for departments and leaders to facilitate achievement of company-wide financial goals.

Encourage and facilitate communication and collaboration between teams and departments, making sure everyone is aligned as the business continues to grow. Ensure development and continued growth of key personnel, focusing on continual training, development and mentorship. Serve, supports, and develops the management team to perform at their highest potential.Strategy related: Collaborate with executive leadership team to set and drive company vision, operational strategy, and annual budget Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping implement both department and organization-wide goal setting and performance management.

Work closely with accounting and other supportive teams to utilize financial reporting and KPIs to inform business decisions and operating strategy, while balancing growth and profit margins. Collaborate with creative, sales and marketing teams.Process related: Develop, refine, and implement new and existing business process flows and reporting structures. Identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations Monitor vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively servicing in a cost-effective manner.

Work with production and sourcing teams to diversify and optimize.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred. Minimum 7-12 years of previous apparel experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic and operational roles in small to midsize companies, and at least 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles.

Proven success in managing a profitable apparel business and scaling the business as the brand grows. In depth understanding of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, warehousing, finance, apparel manufacturing, licensing, customer service, etc.) Keen ability to quickly assess scenarios and translating strategy into action plans Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate objectives as well as provide the team with a clear framework of the strategic priorities.

Ability to be resourceful, with a natural ability to solve problems and seek new information. Highly developed interpersonal skills, diplomacy and sensitivity, and the ability to exercise considerable judgement and discretion in establishing, building, and maintaining effective relationships.
